Recently, I had the pleasure of working on an interior fit-out for The Taming Studio, a boutique hair styling salon that aimed to elevate its brand image and enhance the overall client experience. This transformation was not just about aesthetics; it was about creating an environment that reflects their unique identity while ensuring functionality and comfort.
Vision and Concept
From the outset, our goal was to develop a space that conveys a sense of luxury and warmth. The Taming Studio wanted to make a statement and stand out in a competitive market, so we focused on aligning the design concept with their brand narrative and their mission: to provide a personalised and transformative hair styling experience.
Color Palette and Materials
We began with a carefully curated color palette that combined soft earthy tones with rich accents. Warm and crisp whites complimented by warm feature lighting. This combination evokes a sense of calm and sophistication, inviting clients to relax and indulge. Materials played a crucial role in this transformation. We selected high-quality finishes, including textured wall coverings and and textile elements, which not only enhance the visual appeal but also create a tactile experience that resonates with clients.
Layout and Functionality
An efficient layout was essential to ensure smooth operations. We reconfigured the space to include:
